ZIMBABWE

Zimbabwe, located in Southern Africa, is a country of spectacular natural beauty, rich wildlife, and deep cultural heritage. It is best known for the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, shared with Zambia on the Zambezi River. The falls, called “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (The Smoke that Thunders), are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a highlight of any African journey.

Beyond Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe offers diverse safari experiences. Hwange National Park, the country’s largest reserve, is home to massive elephant herds, lions, wild dogs, and over 400 bird species. Mana Pools National Park, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for canoe safaris and close wildlife encounters along the Zambezi River.

For history and culture, visitors can explore the +Great Zimbabwe Ruins,* the stone-built capital of a powerful medieval kingdom, reflecting the country’s ancient past. Other attractions include the Eastern Highlands with lush mountains and tea estates, Lake Kariba for fishing and houseboat safaris, and Matobo Hills, famous for its balancing granite rocks and spiritual sites.

Zimbabwe is known for its hospitality, cultural richness, and relatively uncrowded tourism compared to its neighbors, making it a rewarding destination for adventure seekers, photographers, and cultural travelers.
